CASE #: 1

STATUS AND POSSIBLE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE
SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION GRANT (S.B.A.)
By: Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Coordinator

Background:

City Council has asked that the Budget Committee review the S.B.A. Grant in part, I presume, to
access the impact on City staff. The planting plan that Mr. Bacon and myself were working on is
very similar to the project description outlined in the grant application. Hourly rates shown reflect
approximately wages and benefits, equipment rates represent a best guess rate for fuel and
operator. I will be available at the meeting to answer questions and also provide the Committee
with our ranking among the applications received (we're apparently "looking good").

Enclosed for your review are the following:

- S,B.A. Project description
- Mr. Bacon's July 9th City Council Grant application request
- July 9th City Council meeting minutes pertaining to the case

Committee Action

Based on discussion

Review Checklist

Parks/Utilities Coordinator
Environmental Specialist
Finance Officer
Public Works Supervisor
