Acts as second-person for two-person crews performing topographic surveys. <br />2. Runs automatic level when performing leveling circuits. <br /> <br />G. Perform miscellaneous dudes at the verbal or written direction of the Senior Engineering <br /> Technician or City Engineer. <br /> <br />POSITION RELATIONSHIPS: <br /> <br />Internal: <br /> 1. <br /> 2. <br /> <br />Frequent contact with Senior Engineering Technician and City Engineer. <br />Frequent contact with other City personnel. <br /> <br />External: 1. Daily contact with the public. <br /> 2. Occasional contact with other governmental agencies. <br /> <br />SUPERVISION PROVIDED: <br /> <br />Independent judgment as well as general discussion with the Senior Engineering Technician to <br />further define policies and procedures is used in decision making. Often in circumstances related <br />to the implementation of day-m-day department functions, the Engineering Technician makes <br />decisions and recommendations with some latitude for independent judgment and action. On <br />matters of broader scope, variations from established policy, the approval of the Senior <br />Engineering Technician and/or the City Engineer is obtained. The Engineering Technician is <br />expected to accomplish tasks of moderate complexity and res ~onsibility with limited supervision. <br /> <br /> <br />
