roads daily with sand, but need help from Mother Nature in the form of warmer temperatures to clear the hard pack on the streets. The rest of the week we have been making repairs to plow equipment, widening out roads, and pushing back snowbanks to improve visibility. The Parks Department has been trying to open trails and sidewalks, but the continuous high winds are thwarting their effort, but we will continue to try to make headway. The Utility Department has been dealing with frozen water services, 18 total to date. All except one has had their water service restored. This has been a challenging winter to say the least. If you aren't, ACSO is engaged in aggressive enforcement, expanded partnerships with local and federal law enforcement partners, conducting numerous public presentations, school presentations to students, marketing campaigns (Posters and billboards), our Prescription Drug Take back program, media cooperation through articles and press releases, and the public "United Front" forums. We understand that we cannot be successful alone. We all need to be engaged in order to make a difference. I found this video that is a powerful tool for all of us to be able to use.
