roads daily with sand, but need help from Mother Nature in the form of warmer temperatures to <br />clear the hard pack on the streets. The rest of the week we have been making repairs to plow <br />equipment, widening out roads, and pushing back snowbanks to improve visibility. The Parks <br />Department has been trying to open trails and sidewalks, but the continuous high winds <br />are thwarting their effort, but we will continue to try to make headway. The Utility Department <br />has been dealing with frozen water services, 18 total to date. All except one has had their water <br />service restored. This has been a challenging winter to say the least. <br />The Opiate Effect — A Message from Anoka County Sheriff James Stuart. Most of you are <br />aware of the many elements that we are engaged in as parts of our anti- heroin initiatives. If you <br />aren't, ACSO is engaged in aggressive enforcement, expanded partnerships with local and federal <br />law enforcement partners, conducting numerous public presentations, school presentations to <br />students, marketing campaigns (Posters and billboards), our Prescription Drug Take back program, <br />media cooperation through articles and press releases, and the public "United Front" forums. <br />We understand that we cannot be successful alone. We all need to be engaged in order to make a <br />difference. I found this video that is a powerful tool for all of us to be able to use.
