Mr. Hartley answered that if the Commission does not meet once a year, it will cease to exist. ]f <br />there is not Charter Commission, it is difficult to make Charter Amendments. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated he wanted City Staff to contact the Chairperson for the Charter Commission <br />to have him schedule and hold a meeting before the end of the year lo be allowed to continue with <br />the Charter Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that if you know someone who ma)' be interested in serving on the <br />Commission, you send in that name to Chief District Court Judge. He added that the name does <br />not have to come from the City Council. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson stated he knows two individuals who would be willing to serve on the <br />Commission. The.-,, are Fred Streeter and Dennis Donovan. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated he would like to submit Richard Netzloff's name. <br /> <br />Motion by Councitmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to submit the three <br />individuals as candidates to fill expired terms on the Ch,m'ter Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Peterson, Pearson, Cich and <br />DeLuca. Voting No: None <br /> <br />Further discussion: Mayor Reimann stated he would like to see a Charter Commission <br />Appointments case on the next Council Agenda. <br /> <br />Case :t/9: Precinct Liaison Meeting <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley stated that the Cit.',, of Ramsey Charter requires that precinct <br />liaisons hold meetings during the year with taxpayers. In order to allow time for the publication of <br />such meetings in the Ramsey Resident, it is suggested that such precinct meetings be held within <br />the last week of November or the first week of December. In years past, the turnout to these <br />meetings has been sparse so he suggested that all precincts be held at a common time and a <br />common place. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to hold the precinct <br />meeting on November 27, 1990 at 7:00 p.m., at the Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cich, Peterson, DeLuca and <br />Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #10: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance Amending Chapter 9 of the City Code Regarding <br />Adult Uses <br /> <br />City Attorney Bill Goodrich handed out copies of the revised proposed Findings of Fact. He <br />proceeded to read and review each of the Findings of Fact with the City Council. He explained <br />that findings #1 and #2 identify the standards and goals in the City's Zoning Ordinance.
