l',4r. Harrier stated that the comparable worth study and the changes in lax,,, were discussed at the <br />Personnel ~ommittee meeting and the Committee recommended bringing in two organizations that <br />can provide the study and implement the plans and schedule a meeting with the Council and <br />employees to decide which organization would be chosen to do the study. The study needs to be <br />completed by December, 1991. <br /> <br />It was decided that health and life insurance decisions for City Councilmembers would be <br />discussed at the first meeting in 1991. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that a number of items the Personnel Committee took action on will be included <br />in the next consent agenda. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson gave a copy of a letter from Mrs. Batson to the Recording Secretary to <br />make copies of and distribute to the proper people. He asked for an update regarding the drainage <br />problem from Sorteberg's 6th Addition. City Engineer Steve Jankowski recently met with Mrs. <br />Batson at the site and reviewed her concerns. Mr. Sorteberg was also present. Mr. Jankowski <br />talked with Mr. Sorteberg after the meeting and he agreed to creating a holding pond to alleviate the <br />drainage problem. Mr. Sorteberg stated he wants to make modifications and Mr. Jankowski <br />okayed it as long as the drainage problem is taken care of. Mr. Jankowski sent a letter to Mrs. <br />Batson outlining a summary of the conversation he had with Mr, Sorteberg. Mr. Jankowski stated <br />he would receive some type of plan within the next couple of days and also that Mr. Sorteberg had <br />indicated that dirt should be moved this fall. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson stated he received notification from Met Council stating they are having a <br />public hearing on Thursday, November 15 at Bunker Lake Activity Center regarding rural land use <br />density policy. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik indicated that Merland Otto would speak on behalf of the City of Ramsey at that hearing <br />and that she would attend as a learning experience. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson commented that it was nice to receive the letters from Christina, Angela <br />and Matthew Casales thanldng the City Council for their park. <br /> <br />Council suggested that SvMa Frolik publish the Precinct Liaison meeting time and date in the <br />Ramsey Resident. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adjourn the <br />regular City Council meeting. <br /> <br />/Vlotion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Pearson, Peterson, Cich and <br />DeLuca.
