as Phase 5 of the Metropolitan Council's approval for the above named Regional Park. <br />Partnership opportunities are many, and range from announcements about the MISS on <br />the city's reader board that is viewed by 45,000 vehicles per day, to promoting the free <br />Electric Vehicle charging stations in the parking ramp and the free Trek bicycles available <br />today, to providing free canoe and kayak service at the existing boat landing in the park <br />immediately south of the Skyway. Additionally, 'outfitter' services would be offered <br />through the City of Ramsey Parks and Recreation to visitors that wish to be dropped off <br />or picked up for a float trip or fishing on the Mighty Mississippi. <br />Criteria and Goals <br />The project must meet all four of the following screening criteria: <br />❑X 20% or more match <br />❑X Compliance completed or will be completed by project start <br />❑X Partner responsible for maintenance costs <br />❑X No more than 2 miles from the MNRRA boundary, but less is preferred <br />If the four criteria are met, please indicate which of the following ATP goals are addressed: <br />❑X Improve and enhance the visitor experience by integrating and enhancing opportunities for <br />transportation, recreation, education, and scenic enjoyment along the river. <br />❑X Provide access to the MNRRA for everyone into the surrounding transportation system while <br />improving safety and meeting ADA. <br />❑X Increase visitation to MNRRA without increasing congestion. <br />❑X Establish a transportation system to and in the MNRRA that preserves, enhances, and interprets <br />natural and cultural resources. <br />❑X Promotes development of environmental, economic, and socially adaptable and sustainable <br />transportation and recreation facilities. <br />Please indicate which of the following primary criteria are met as well: <br />❑X Be near transportation facilities, including one of 9 MNRRA alternative transportation system <br />nodes <br />❑X Be located in proximity to river access <br />❑ Meet one or more of the following Alternative Transportation System goals to. <br />❑X Closes a trail gap in the existing MNRRA system <br />❑X Extends the MNRRA system beyond current end -points or ends of trail segments <br />❑X Improves the physical conditions of existing trails <br />❑X Establishes linkages with existing bicycle, boat and/or transit facilities <br />❑X Encourages the use of alternative transportation modes (e.g. walking, bicycling, paddling) <br />❑X Enhances the visibility and awareness of the MNRRA <br />❑X Promotes the recreational use and features of the MNRRA <br />❑X Serves as a commute -to -work facility <br />
