Finalists will be asked to state their understanding of the Project, offer their <br />methodology for meeting the design criteria, and state how they will interface <br />with the City and the internal project management team. <br />4. At any stage, the City reserves the right to terminate, suspend or modify this <br />selection process; reject any or all submittals at any time; and waive any <br />informalities, irregularities or omissions in submittals, all as the best interests of <br />the City may appear. <br />5. The City will not accept any information, in any form whatsoever, from <br />Proposers after the proposal due date. Unsuccessful Proposers will be notified in <br />writing that they were not selected to compete in the next stage of the selection <br />process and such notification shall result in no further consideration of these <br />submissions. All determinations of the City regarding rejection shall be final. <br />C. Selection Criteria: <br />Proposals will be rated by the committee according to the following criteria, using a 60 <br />point scale. Teams rated the highest according to this criteria will be invited to an <br />interview. <br />1. Qualifications and experience of the firm in the professional areas listed in this <br />RFP. (10 points) <br />2. Qualifications and experience of the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and other <br />Key Personnel (including subcontractors) in the professional areas listed in this <br />RFP and in similar projects. (10 points) <br />3. Proposed approach to completing the scope of work. Philosophy and <br />understanding of the project and project issues. (15 points) <br />4. Proposed scope and method of work that aligns the Consultant fees with the <br />estimated chargeable City Staff time - for a total project cost of a not -to -exceed <br />amount of $100,000. (10 points) <br />5. Proposed utilization, commitment, and management of project team and <br />work tasks; including project schedule. (5 points) <br />6. Ability to communicate and build project consensus, proposal completeness; <br />ability to provide all of the necessary coordination to complete the project, <br />including coordination with various public agencies, utilities, and adjacent <br />property owners/ citizen stakeholders involved in the TOD public <br />involvement process, and especially securing all applicable authorizations <br />from agencies for the future construction of the skyway. Determination of <br />items and tasks to be included in the project which balance the needs and <br />objectives of the project.- (10 points) <br />D. Submission Ownership, Use and Rights: <br />The City reserves the option of retaining any or all of the materials and drawings <br />submitted by the Proposers/Respondents to this RFP. <br />Any unique or exclusive design concepts or features represented in the submission <br />documents shall remain the property of the authoring Design Consultant.
