Progress Report: Old Municipal Center Study Group (Data Center Review)
The City Council has established an ad -hoc Study Group to collaborate on a review of future land use of the old municipal
center located at 15153 Nowthen Blvd NW. The group was asked `under what circumstances, if any, would the development of
a data center be an acceptable use of the parcel?' For detailed information, contact Patrick Brama, Assistant to the City
Administrator at 763-433-9903 or pbrama@ci.ramsey.mn.us.
The Study Group has met on three (3) occasions. Meeting # 1 was known as the
Scoping Meeting. Participants spent this meeting developing the future agenda
and schedule on their own, framed around the policy question above. Meeting
#2 was focused on the topic of noise generated by this use. Meeting #3 focused
on building design and site layout. Participants were able to provide feedback
on specific building design elements. Participants worked with a blank map and
scaled blocks representing design elements (building, parking, landscaping).
Participants then collaborated and arranged development components, all while
developing a list of opportunities, issues, and concerns.
Detailed Report Information for the Above Projects
For more information on these projects that have received Planning Commission and City Council and are under construction
or nearing construction, please feel free to contact Tim Gladhill, Development Services Manager, at 763-576-4308 or
tgladhill@ci.ramsey.mn.us or by visiting www.cityoframsey.com/planning-division.
