d. Employees are restricted to residents of the dwelling Unit.

The home occupation must be conducted entirely by personal computer,
phone, mail, shipment, or delivery of merchandise, and such deliveries must
not generate vehicular traffic within the neighborhood in greater volume than
would normally be expected in a residential district and shall not restrict
traffic circulation.

f. Off-street parking for the Dwelling Unit occupants is provided in accordance
with sub-section 9.11.10 Off-Street Parking of this Code.

Subd. 2. Home Occupation Permit Required. Home occupations that do
not comply with the criteria of Subd. 1 shall require either a Principal Dwelling Home
Occupation Permit or an Accessory Structure Home Occupation Permit. No Principal Dwelling
or Accessory Structure Home Occupation shall be permitted without the prior issuance of a
Home Occupation Permit.

Subd. 3. Principal Dwelling Home Occupations. The intent of a Principal
Dwelling Home Occupation Permit is to allow the property owner the opportunity to operate a
low profile business within the Dwelling Unit, excluding attached or detached garages. There
shall not be any exterior evidence of the existence of said Principal Dwelling Home Occupation.
It is the intent of this Principal Dwelling Home Occupation section for the property owner to
have a vested interest in the business, as the City does not desire to create business incubators for
lease within the residential district. Principal Dwelling Home Occupation Permits shall be
required to comply with the following standards:

a. Restricted to the Dwelling Unit, excluding any attached or detached accessory
structure.

b. The Permittee must reside at the Dwelling Unit.

c. No interior or exterior business signs or displays shall be permitted unless
specifically permitted by the Permit.

d. No exterior storage of business equipment, materials, merchandise, inventory,
or heavy equipment shall be permitted.

e. The area set aside for home the occupation shall not exceed 20% of the total
floor area of the Dwelling Unit.

f. Employment of any person not residing at the Dwelling unit in the
performance of the occupation shall not be permitted.

The number of clients or customers permitted on the Dwelling Unit at one
time shall be limited and shall not create a parking demand in excess of that
which can be accommodated in an existing driveway for a Dwelling Unit.
