Councilmember Tossey stated he asked for this item to be pulled from the Consent Agenda <br />because he opposes this hire, at this time, as these duties are currently being covered by staff and <br />the temporary seasonal position will be backfilled. <br />Motion by Councilmember LeTourneau, seconded by Councilmember Riley, to adopt Resolution <br /># 14 -02 -041 to Hire a Utilities Maintenance Worker. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers LeTourneau, Riley, Backous, <br />Johns, and Kuzma. Voting No: Councilmember Tossey. <br />8. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />City Administrator Ulrich announced upcoming meetings and events. He reported there have <br />been some issues with frozen waterlines due to the significantly deep frost and asked residents to <br />call City Hall should they experience this problem. <br />City Administrator Ulrich reported the preliminary taxable market value is higher than <br />anticipated at a 7.2% increase over payable 2014, the first positive growth in the past four years. <br />9.
