Other Notables in 2013: <br />• Bart Hayft, Captain #13 will be promoted to Assistant Chief effective January of 2014. <br />• Carey Schiferli, Captain #12 will be promoted to Assistant Chief effective January of 2014. <br />• Carey Schiferli was also named as the new Fire Marshal for Ramsey Fire Department. <br />• Officer Staff met with Police and Public Works Supervisory staff and worked through a table -top <br />emergency management exercise <br />• The fire departments of Ramsey, Anoka/Champlin and Andover have put together a draft Box <br />Alarm system that is ready for implementation in early 2014. This will be a first time test -run <br />within the county. <br />• ISO representatives have contacted Dean Kapler inquiring about scheduling a survey of the <br />Ramsey/Nowthen area. <br />
