Development Services Manager Gladhill indicated that Mr. Pearson has a lot of pride in his <br />property and wants to make sure it represents a good community asset and matches the needs of <br />the community, adding that he felt Mr. Pearson would be open to further discussion. <br />Member Riley asked if Bunker Lake Boulevard would need to be upgraded and the cost to get <br />utilities to this area. <br />Development Services Manager Gladhill stated that engineering staff are working on this, adding <br />that the first step is to better define the land uses in the area and running traffic numbers to make <br />sure there is adequate capacity. <br />CBRE, City of Ramsey's Preferred Broker <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Brama advised that staff met with CBRE this week to discuss <br />phase 1 listings, which includes 17 listings for a total of approximately 30 properties. <br />Greater MSP Lead Response <br />Economic Development Manager LaFrance advised that staff has learned that Lead #200 is <br />looking elsewhere for a site, possibly in Blaine. <br />Former Amoco Station (5195 NW 142nd Avenue) <br />Economic Development Manager LaFrance stated that a meeting is scheduled for today with a <br />potential buyer and noted this property includes restrictive covenants regarding use of the <br />property that significantly limits what can go on the site. <br />Casey's General Store <br />Economic Development Manager LaFrance stated the City received a letter of interest for this <br />site and Casey's is in the process of preparing a Purchase Agreement for the site. <br />Armstrong Interchange <br />Development Services Manager Gladhill advised that 60% plans have been submitted and it is <br />anticipated that 95% plans will be completed by the end of March. He stated the City's <br />legislative team is working on funding and the project appears to be gaining traction at the <br />legislative level. He presented several diagrams of the bridge concept and stated a lot of final <br />design choices and structural design decisions will occur in the next few weeks. <br />Sunfish Express <br />Economic Development Manager LaFrance stated the City received notification that Sunfish <br />Express will be closing and the HRA has indicated it would like to discuss this in the near future. <br />Member LeTourneau felt it might be worthwhile to prepare a statement of goals for this site <br />similar to what was prepared for the 167/47 commercial node. <br />Member Riley stated that the medians are an issue in this area and added that the possibility of <br />closing the only access to this site will create significant challenges for the property. <br />Economic Development Authority/February 13, 2014 <br />Page 5 of 7 <br />
