plan amendment to change the residential properties from Places to Work to Low Density
Residential. Some of the reasons the City Council gave in favor in changing the designation
back to Low Density Residential was that there was not any pending plans to redevelop the
neighborhood and the fact that the Employment Zoning District designation will make the
residential units non - conforming uses and cause problems for residents with their mortgage
companies.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends approval of the Comprehensive Plan Amendment to change the seven lots on
Rivlyn Ave. from Places to Work to Low Density Residential.
Commission Action:
Motion to recommend that the City Council adopt the resolution approving the land use change
for properties located on Rivlyn Ave. from Places to Work to Low Density Residential.
-or-
Motion to recommend that the City Council deny the request for a Comprehensive Plan
Amendment.
Reviewed by: Copies to:
Community Development Director City Administrator
Associate Planner City Attorney
PC: 08/07/03
