THIS SURVEY IS BEING PROVIDED TO CLARIFY THE POSITION(S) OF EACH PROPERTY OWNER(S) ON THE CHOICES THAT WOULD NOW BE LOOKED AT. WHILE THE "E" - EMPLOYMENT DISTRICT ZONING DOES NOT CHANGE THE CONFORMING USE OF ALL PROPERTIES ON RIVLYN AVE AS THEY ARE NOW, IT DOES PERMIT ANY AND ALL OF THE USES a) through d) SHOWN IN Permitted Uses ABOVE, OF OUR PROPERTY SHOULD ONE OF THE PROPERTIES IN QUESTION BE SOLD - and this zoning would also cause problems of 1) refinancing and financing of mortgages on the property, 2) the insurance policies on the property as to repair and rebuilding of damage to property, 3) the salability of the property. THE "MIXED USE" ZONING IS PROPOSED AS A MIDDLE ZONE BETWEEN THE EMPLOYMENT DISTRICT ZONE AND THE RESIDENTIAL ZONE and that the language to put in place the "Mixed Use" zoning would address these concerns, remove these limitations, and yet permit all the Permitted Uses a) through e) as above. (The seven properties on the North side of Rivlyn Ave have been zoned in a zoning of this middle kind, but the City of Ramsey Comprehensive Plan at present only recognizes the two (2) choices: E - Employment or R -1 Residential.) IT WAS THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSIONS ACTION TO REZONE OUR PROPERTY TO CONFORM TO THE ZONING AS SPECIFIED IN THAT COMPREHENSIVE PLAN THAT BROUGHT ALL THIS ACTIVITY. SO, PLEASE COMPLETE AND RETURN THE ENCLOSED SURVEY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO EITHER MYSELF OR IF YOU DON'T WISH TO DO THAT, SEND THE SURVEY TO MAYOR GAMEC. We will each make copies for all the City Council Members present them at the Regular City Council Meeting on September 23rd, 2003.
