17 SSTS CREDENTIALING AND PRODUCT REGISTRATION 7083.1050 <br />Subp. 4. Experience plan reporting. <br />A. All work used to gain experience for certification must be documented. Documentation <br />shall include all information, records, or other documents required by this chapter or chapters 7080 to 7082. <br />The documentation must be submitted to the commissioner from a minimum of five jobs along with the <br />experience plan from those same jobs. The documentation must provide the basis for approval or denial of <br />a certification. <br />B. Approvals, sign -offs, or certificates of compliance issued by the local unit of government <br />must be submitted to the commissioner for the five jobs noted in item A. <br />C. The completed experience plan must contain the signature and certification number of the <br />mentor. <br />D. The submittal must contain any other information necessary to determine compliance with <br />this part. <br />Subp. 5. Amount of experience. <br />A. An applicant for certification as a basic designer must have co -completed with a mentor <br />a minimum of 15 ISTS site and soil evaluations, designs, and management plans for a Type I, II, or III <br />system, as defined under parts 7080.2200 and 7080.2300, with a flow of 2,500 gallons per day or less, <br />with a minimum of one aboveground system design, and a minimum of one belowground system design. <br />An applicant must observe five installations and five service or operational instances, with mentorship not <br />required. No additional experience is required to qualify for the advanced designer certification. <br />B. An applicant for certification as an installer must have completed a minimum of 15 ISTS <br />installations, with a minimum of one aboveground system installation and a minimum of one belowground <br />system installation. An applicant must observe five service or operational instances, with mentorship not <br />required. <br />C. An applicant for certification as a basic inspector must have: <br />(1) co -completed, with a mentor, a minimum of 15 inspections of Type I, II, or III systems, <br />as defined under parts 7080.2200 and 7080.2300, with a flow of 2,500 gallons per day or less. The inspections <br />must include a minimum of one aboveground system inspection and one belowground system inspection; <br />and <br />(2) observed, with or without a mentor: <br />(a) five soil evaluations, system designs, and management plans being developed; <br />(b) five system installations; and <br />(c) five service or operational instances. <br />No additional experience is required to qualify for the advanced inspector certification. <br />D. An applicant for certification as a maintainer must have co -completed with a mentor a <br />minimum of 15 pump -outs with properly disposed of septage. <br />E.
