<br />Currently the City collects a sanitary sewer trunk charge in the amount of $596 per
<br />connection. Based on the potential for 15,053 units connected to the proposed interceptor sewer
<br />expansions, the City's current trunk charges would generate $8,971,588. Therefore, for the City
<br />to cover the total estimated costs of the proposed sanitary sewer system shown on Figure 3, it
<br />would be necessary to increase the trunk sewer charge to $1,800. However, with the
<br />understanding that the City would only be responsible for the cost of trunk sanitary lines with a
<br />size greater than 8-inchs, the trunk charge would need to be increased to $1,100 to cover the
<br />estimated cost of $16,242,380.
