1) The 2003 population of Ramsey is 18,993. <br />2) Total city population is expected to increase to 43,000 by the year 2020. <br />3) The Ramsey Town Center project will occur in the years 2004-2007, and will add a <br />total of 10,378 to the service area population. This will add an average of 2595 per <br />year for these 4 years. <br />4) Other development will add an average of 802 people per year to the overall city <br />population, <br />5) Current rural population is estimated to be 8,201. Population in the Rural Preserve <br />area is estimated to be 182. <br />6) Rural development will continue, accounting for an average of increase in the total <br />population of 66 people per year. Of this development, it is estimated that an average <br />of 3 houses per year, equivalent to 10 people per year, will be added in the Rural <br />Preserve Area. <br />7) Current population being served by the water system is estimated to be 7,264. <br />8) By the year 2020, 90% of the current urban population that is not connected to the <br />water system will be connected. This accounts for an average of 144 additional <br />people per year serviced by the water system. <br />9) By the year 2020, 90% of the rural population (not including the Rural Preserve north <br />of the Trott Brook) will be connected to the water system. <br />Historical and population projections are summarized in Table 2.1.
