If it is necessary for the City to arbitrarily cut-off or ask particular manufacturers or <br />commercial establishments to discontinue certain operations, the City would enforce this by <br />either shutting off their water and by making spot checks to ensure that the business is complying <br />with the City's orders. With the new ordinance in place, the City would have the authority to <br />arbitrarily shut off water service if necessary. <br />I. WATER SUPPLY PROTECTION <br />A Wellhead Protection Program is the most effective way to protect the ground water <br />used as a public water supply.
