6. PUBLIC HEARING <br />6.01: Public Hearing: Plan Modification for Tax Increment Financing District No. 14 <br />Presentation <br />Finance Director Diana Lund reviewed the staff report and recommendation to modify Tax <br />Increment Financing (TIF) District No. 14 to remove parcels (from 333 parcels to 91 parcels), to <br />update the budget to reflect current Office of the State Auditor TIF reporting requirements, to <br />update the TIF District parcel list due to replatting of some parcels, and to reflect the Special <br />Legislation granted in 2010 for the creation of this TIF District. <br />Mayor Strommen closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:07 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br />Public Hearing <br />Mayor Strommen called the public hearing to order at 7:07 p.m. <br />Citizen Input <br />There was none. <br />Motion by Councilmember Backous, seconded by Councilmember Kuzma, to close the public <br />hearing. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Backous, Kuzma, <br />LeTourneau, Riley, and Tossey. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Johns. <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:08 p.m. <br />Council Business <br />Mayor Strommen called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:08 p.m. <br />Motion by Councilmember Backous, seconded by Councilmember Tossey, to Adopt Resolution <br />#14 -05 -094 Adopting a Modification to the Tax Increment Financing Plan for Tax Increment <br />Financing District No. 14. <br />Further discussion: Councilmember LeTourneau commended the staff and Ehlers and <br />Associates for their work in this project. <br />City Administrator Ulrich noted this item also represents a lot of work by the Finance and <br />Community Development staff. <br />City Council / May 27, 2014 <br />Page 4 of 10 <br />
