Motion by Commissioner VanScoy, seconded by Commissioner Nosan, to approve the following <br />minutes as presented: Planning Commission Meeting Minutes dated March 6, 2014. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners VanScoy, Nosan, Bauer, <br />Brauer, Field, and Maul. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />5. PUBLIC HEARINGS /COMMISSION BUSINESS <br />5.01: Appointment of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson <br />Presentation <br />Development Services Manager Gladhill requested the Planning Commission appoint a <br />Chairperson and Vice Chairperson for 2014. He reported these actions were taken by the <br />Planning Commission on an annual basis. <br />Motion by Commissioner Bauer, seconded by Commissioner Brauer, to appoint Gary Levine as <br />Chairperson of the Planning Commission for 2014. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Bauer, Brauer, Field, Maul, <br />Nosan, and VanScoy. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />5.02: Public Hearing: Consider Request for an Interim Use Permit to Utilize an <br />Alternative Surface for Expansion of Outdoor Sales/Display Area at 7575 Highway <br />10 NW and the Adjacent Vacant Parcel to the East; Case of M & G Trailer Sales <br />and Service <br />Public Hearing <br />Chairperson Levine called the public hearing to order at 7:04 p.m. <br />Presentation <br />City Planner Anderson presented the staff report stating M & G Trailer Sales and Service desires <br />to expand their outdoor sales /display area to accommodate a larger inventory of trailers. The <br />applicant is at maximum capacity for display within their existing parking lot at 7575 Highway <br />10 NW and would like to expand to the east onto a vacant parcel owned by the City. An Interim <br />Use Permit has been applied for to expand the applicant's display area to the east utilizing Class <br />V gravel rather than asphalt or concrete. Staff recommends the Commission allow the interim <br />Planning Commission/April 3, 2014 <br />Page 2 of 11 <br />
