Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14-06-108 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT AMENDMENT FOR THE COMMUNITY FOREST <br />BONDING GRANT EXTENDING THE DEADLINE FOR COMPLETION TO <br />DECEMBER 1, 2014 <br />WHEREAS, on January 24, 2012, the City Council authorized City Staff to apply <br />for Community Forest Bonding Grant monies to install landscape improvements in North <br />Commons, which is legally described as Outlot A COR THREE; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 21, 2012, the City received notice that its application for <br />funding was approved in full by the MN DNR; and <br />WHEREAS, on November 8, 2013, the City was notified that Resolution #12-06- <br />088 and the required Declaration of Bond -Financed Property were rejected for recording <br />by Anoka County due to certain missing elements; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 3, 2014 the City submitted Resolution #14-05-085 and an <br />updated Declaration of Bond -Financed Property to Anoka County for recording; and <br />WHEREAS, the City must provide evidence of recording of the Declaration of <br />Bond -Financed Property and have a compliance inspection conducted by the MN DNR <br />prior to June 30, 2014 to complete all required grant components; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has received permission for an extension to complete all <br />required grant components by December 1, 2014 with the execution of a Contract <br />Amendment. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator <br />to execute a Contract Amendment with the MN DNR providing an extension until <br />December 1, 2014 to complete all required components of the Community Forest <br />Bonding Grant awarded to the City for purchase and installation of native trees in <br />North Commons. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Riley and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />
