The amendment proposes to change the land use designation of a 50 -acre property from Rural Development to Mixed Use. The amendment also adds the property to the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA), and updates the City's local sewer staging plan. The staff's initial review finds the plan amendment complete for formal review. Under Minnesota Laws 1995, Chapter 248, Article 18, the Council has 60 calendar days to review the plan amendment. The 60 - day deadline ends on June 15, 2004. The Council staff will prepare a review report for the Council's Community Development Committee. The committee's action will go to the full Council. The staff anticipates that the amendment can be scheduled for a full Council review at their meeting in late May or early June. Prior to the meetings, the staff will provide you the review report, and notify you of the meeting dates.
