The amendment adds the property to the Metropolitan Urban Service Area <br />(MUSA), updates the City's local sewer staging plan, and amends the City's Mississippi River Critical <br />Area plan. The Council's 60 -day review deadline ends on June 15, 2004. <br />On June 7, 2004, the Council's Community Development Committee took action on the amendment. <br />However, the full Council cannot act on the amendment until June 23, 2004. <br />Under Minnesota Statutes 473.175, subd. 2, the Council has 60 calendar days to review comprehensive <br />plans and plan amendments submitted by local governments. An additional 60 days can be added to the <br />review period after notice to the local governmental unit. Therefore, we are extending the review period <br />for another 60 days, until August 14, 2004 to accommodate the Council's meeting schedule. <br />Following the Council's June 23 meeting, the staff will notify the City of the Council's action, and will <br />forward the amendment information and the Council's recommendation to the Minnesota Department of <br />Natural Resources for its review of the amendment to the City's Mississippi River Critical Area plan.
