Attached to the Weekly is the Bi- Weekly Flyer for The Draw <br />Summer Events Series <br />Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics — Friday, June 27, 9:00 a.m. Starting at the <br />Weigh Station on Highway #10 and ending at Hardees in Anoka. Attached to the Weekly Update <br />is a Flyer for 2014 Torch Run Gear <br />Council Update <br />Absentee Voting. In- person absentee voting begins at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, and continues <br />through Monday, August 11. New this year is no- excuse absentee voting which means voters are <br />no longer required to provide a reason to vote by absentee ballot. Ramsey residents may vote at <br />City Hall during regular business hours Monday through Friday or in the Elections office of the <br />Anoka County Government Center. City Hall will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on <br />Saturday, August 9 for absentee voting as well. Captain Katers recently graduated from the ten (10) week long FBI National Academy <br />in Quantico, VA. The 255th Session graduating class consisted of 220 men and women from 48 <br />states, 17 countries, 6 military organizations and 5 federal organizations. Captain Katers received <br />17 college credits through the University of VA that he will apply towards his Bachelor Degree <br />from Metro State University. His course work included Leadership, Police Media Relations, <br />Public Speaking, Computer Crimes for Supervisors, Psychological Behavior and Physical <br />Training. Congratulations to Captain Katers. <br />Engineering Department Weekly Updates — <br />City Improvement Project Updates <br />• Riverdale Drive Extension/Reconstruction Project - <br />o Bids for this project are currently being advertised. <br />o The bid opening is scheduled for July 18 <br />o The City Council will consider accepting bids and awarding a construction <br />contract on July 22, 2014. <br />
