Councilmember Cook stated that the study would then <br />have to be done at a cost to the City: Councilmember Kurak replied that it would always <br />be a cost to the property owners because why would the City initiate such a study on their <br /> <br />own. <br /> <br />Motion failed. Abstain: <br />Councilmember Elvig. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />2003 Street Maintenance Program <br />The Public Works Committee directed staff to bring back the 2003 Street Maintenance <br />Program in February to continue discussion of assessing large lots within a neighborhood <br />and assessing commercial property. <br /> <br />$) <br /> <br />Campaign Signage <br />Staff reported that they are dealing with the situation of campaign signs in the fight-Of_ <br />way and this situation needs to be reviewed. The Public Works Committee requested that <br />the issue be brought back to the February Public Works Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilrnember Zimmerman, to ratify the <br />recommendations of the Public Works Committee on cases 1, 2, 4, and 5. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
