COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case#l: Adopt Ordinance Amending Sections 2 of City Code "Economic <br /> Development Authority", and "Boards and Commissions'', RespectivelY <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that during the work session of December 17, 2002, the <br />Council discussed three separate items related to Chapter 2 of the City Code, which included <br />Term Limits, Economic Development Commission, and Board and Commission Removal for <br />Cause. No changes were recommended on the term limit policy, however, changes 'were <br />recommended for elimination of Economic Development Commission language and language <br />changes for removal of board or commission members. Language was drafted by the City <br />Attorney to amend these two items and that language was presented for Council review on <br />January 14, 2003. At that meeting; Council made the motion to introduce the ordinance to begin <br />the process Of implementing the language change, with the final language being reviewed when <br />presented for adoption. Staff recommended that the City Council adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak requested that a copy of the Code of Conduct policy be sent out to all <br />board and commission members. <br /> <br />City Administrator Nonnan replied that he would do so. <br /> <br />Motion by Cottncilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to adopt Ordinance #03- <br />03 amending Section 2.02 and 2.03 of the CitY Code, which sections are entitled "Economic <br />Development Authority", and "Boards and Commission", respectively. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording SecretarY: <br /> <br />Councihnember Kurak aye <br />Councihnember Zimmerman aye <br />Councilmember Cook aye <br />Councilmember Pearson aye <br />Councilmember Strommen aye <br />Councilmember Elvig aye <br />Mayor Gamec aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />City Council/February 11, 2003 <br /> Page 7 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
