Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Introduce Ordinance to Change Street Names in Highlands at River Park <br />and Highlands at River Park 2nd Addition; 'Case of City of Ramsey <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that in the recorded plats of Highlands at River <br />Park and Highlands at River Park 2nd Addition, there is a North Yakima Court N.W. on the north <br />side of 155th Lane N.W. and a South Yakima Court N.W. on the south side of 155th Lane N.W. <br />The Ramsey Police Department has received information from 911 Central Communications that <br />prefacing Yakima Court N.W. with a 'north' and 'south' designation is problematic to their <br />system and emergency responders. Consequently, Anoka Central Communications is requesting <br />that the City take the necessary steps to eliminate the 'north' and 'south' preface from Yakima <br />Court N.W. in Highlands at River Park. Changing a street name requires adoption of an <br />ordinance by City Council. City staff recommends approval of the proposed street name <br />changes. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
