ORDINANCE #14-12 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 62 OF THE CITY CODE, WHICH CHAPTER IS KNOWN AS <br />WATERWAYS OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 62-22 (NO -WAKE ZONE) OF THE RAMSEY CITY <br />CODE. <br />The City of Ramsey Ordains: <br />SECTION 1 AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of Ramsey. <br />SECTION 2 AMENDMENTS <br />Section 62-22 is hereby amended to include the following definitions: (additions indicated as underline. <br />deletions indicated as ztrilx, through): <br />Sec. 62-22. - No -wake zone. <br />(a) Regulations. The purpose of the restrictions in this section is to a) prevent soil erosion, b) minimize <br />damage to docks and other structures, and c) promote public safety. <br />(1) Rum River No -wake zone. No person shall operate a watercraft of greater than a slow -no -wake <br />speed (five miles per hour) on the Rum River within the following slow -no -wake zones in the Rum <br />River identified on the map attached to the ordinance from which this article is derived: <br />Zone I Location <br />(Mile Marker) <br />1 4.4 - 5.2 <br />2 Ramsey/Anoka city limits to 4.4 mile marker <br />i. The slow -no -wake zone shall be in effect all 24 hours of the day. all year. <br />(2) The slow no wake zone chall be in effecall 2/1 hours of the da„ all year <br />(2) Mississippi River High Water No -wake zone. A slow -no -wake speed shall be in effect 24 hours <br />per day on the Mississippi River between River Mile 879 upstream (upstream of the upstream tip <br />of Goodin Island, located between Dayton and Ramsey) and River Mile 866.2 downstream (the <br />Coon Rapids Dam) when the river level on the Mississippi River exceed 834 feet above sea level, <br />as measured and marked on the Anoka -Champlin Bridge, on both sides of the river.
