Subpart 2. General provisions. <br />A. Applicability. The standards and criteria of this part apply to: <br />The standards in this section apply to various <br />types of development /land alteration. This <br />approach is very similar to that used by the <br />(1) land alteration: <br />Capital Region and Ramsey - Washington <br />a) within the shore impact zone or 50 feet, whichever is <br />Metro Watershed Districts for managing <br />greater, abutting a public water, wetland, or natural <br />drainage way; <br />b) within a slope preservation zone; or <br />c) within a bluff impact zone <br />erosion. <br />(2) vegetation removal within: <br />a) a shore impact zone; <br />b) a bluff impact zone; <br />c) a slope preservation zone; or <br />d) areas of native plant communities; <br />e) tree canopies and significant vegetative stands <br />identified in local governments' adopted plans. <br />B. In the areas specified in item A, no land alteration or vegetation <br />removal activities are allowed except as provided by this part. <br />Subpart 3. Permit process. Local governments may grant the permit, deny the permit, or <br />grant the permit with conditions necessary to achieve the <br />purposes of this part, as provided under subpart 5. <br />Subpart 4. General performance standards.
