Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Terry to amend #5 to read <br />"Any Mississippi River bridge crossing will primarily service Highway #10 and should terminate <br />at an east -west collector road in the City of Ramsey." <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Hendriksen, Terry, Deemer, and Thorud. Voting <br />No: Chairperson Bawden and Commissioner LaDue. Absent: Commissioner Holland. <br />It was the consensus of the Planning Commission to amend #7 to delete the word "frontage" and <br />replace it with the word "access." <br />Mr. Schwanke stated that the consultants would meet with the Planning Commission again once <br />they have refined the planning documents as instructed. <br />Mr. Dietrich added that he would also like to update the Planning Commission regarding the <br />Overlay Shoreland District at the next meeting. <br />It was the consensus of the Planning Commission that they would again have a special meeting <br />with the consultants to be held May 19, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. following the Board of Adjustment <br />meeting; if there is to be no Board of Adjustment meeting, the meeting will commence at 7:00 p.m. <br />Commissioner Hendriksen suggested inviting a representative from the City Council to that special <br />meeting to keep them up-to-date. <br />Commissioner Deemer suggested waiting until after the May 19 meeting and holding a joint <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Schroeder advised that he would update the City Council at their upcoming meeting and <br />request possible dates from them for a joint meeting to be held in June. <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br />1) Elk River Planning Seminar <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that the topic of Elk River's annual planning seminar to be held <br />on May 17, 1994 is about how the current quality of life impacts the future. Chairperson Bawden <br />and Commissioner Deemer stated they will attend the seminar. Ms. Frolik advised she would <br />contact Commissioner Holland to see if he is interested in attending. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to adjourn the meeting <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners LaDue, Deemer, Hendriksen, <br />Terry, and Thorud. Voting No: None.
