The service was provided in Ramsey on select days out of the <br />week. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AFFECTING RAMSEY <br />Both Anoka County and Mn/DOT planned or programmed improvement projects within the <br />County to be implemented by 2010. Anoka County's Five -Year Plan, published in 1993 <br />included capacity enhancements on 173rd Avenue between Armstrong Boulevard and CSAH <br />5. Following these improvements, 173rd Avenue (CR 63) would be turned over to City of <br />Ramsey jurisdiction. <br />The Plan also included four other projects that are described below: <br />• Construct an extension of Industry Avenue west of Ramsey Boulevard to Armstrong <br />Boulevard <br />• Relocate the intersection of CSAH 5 and TH 47 <br />• Improve/reconstruct Armstrong Boulevard from CR 63 to CSAH 22 <br />• Improve/reconstruct Industry Avenue from CR 56 to Dysprosium Street <br />Of these four projects, the extension of Industry Avenue to the west is the only project that <br />is programmed to be implemented. Construction is scheduled to take place in the last year <br />of the CIP (1998). <br />System recommendations to be implemented by Mn/DOT by 2010 included the following: <br />• Construct a major park -and -ride lot south of TH 10 in the vicinity of Ramsey <br />Boulevard <br />• Construct a link between existing CSAH 5 and existing TH 47 north of CR 64 <br />• Improve geometrics on TH 47, revert jurisdiction to the County, and designate as a <br />feeder bus route to major transit access within the City of Anoka <br />• Realign CR 56 and redesignate as TH 47, which would operate as an "A" minor <br />arterial <br />• Identify Ramsey Boulevard as the alignment for the new bridge crossing of the <br />Mississippi River <br />Working Paper #1 <br />City of Ramsey Comprehensive Plan Update <br />Transportation Plan Element <br />Page 8 <br />
