Mn/DOT is aware that a portion of the project is proposed to run parallel to
TH 10. Please note that Mn/DOT does not commit to operate and maintain the pedestrian
facility and expects that the city would assume this responsibility for the useful life of the
improvement.
After review of the project materials and our knowledge of the project area, we find that the
proposed project is consistent with the Mn/DOT Metro District Highway Investment Plan.
Mn/DOT supports this proposed project for Federal funding, but our support of this project does
not constitute financial commitment to share in the cost of the project. Please continue to work
with Wayne Norris, North Area Manager, as you continue to develop this project.
Sincerely,
Scott McBride, P.E.
Metro District Engineer
C: Wayne Norris, North Area Manager
Pat Bursaw, Metro Program Management
An equal opportunity employer
MRT - Ramsey's National & Regional Extension Appendix 4, Page 1
