TASK 4: FINAL DESIGN AND PLAN AND SPECFICATION PREPARATION <br />Bolton & Menk will complete the detailed design of the trail improvements consistent with City and MnDOT <br />requirements, in accordance with Federal Aid standards, and all Federal and State laws, rules, and regulations. We <br />anticipate the plans will contain the following sheets: <br />Sheet Index <br />Title Sheet (1) <br />Legend (1) <br />Quantity Tabulations (1) <br />Alignment Tab (1) <br />Typical Sections and Construction Details (1) <br />Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (3) <br />Removals (1) — May not be required <br />Plan & Profiles (3) <br />Cross Sections (9) <br />Anticipated Plan Set will Contain 21 Sheets. <br />This task will also include a review of the Riverdale Drive plans prepared by the City of Ramsey. Bolton & Menk <br />will develop a strategy for removing portions of the project from the City project for development of the Federal <br />Aid project. We will redline suggested plan changes and discuss with City staff. <br />Bolton & Menk will prepare specifications in accordance with Federal Aid requirements for the project. This <br />includes downloading the most current versions of all required forms from the MnDOT website and incorporating <br />them into the Project Manual. <br />TASK 5: COST ESTIMATING <br />This task will include preparation of construction cost estimates during the design phase of the project and also <br />upon completion of the plans and specifications. <br />TASK 6: FEDERAL AID APPROVAL DOCUMENTS <br />DCP Process <br />Bolton & Menk will assist the City in obtaining Federal Authorization for the construction of the trail and related <br />facilities following the Delegated Contract Project (DCP) process. To obtain Authorization, the following items <br />need to be submitted and approved by MnDOT: <br />• DCP 01 — Request for Contracting Authority <br />• DCP 02 — Plan Submittal <br />• Right -of -Way Certificate lA <br />• Engineer's Estimate <br />• Plan Review Checklists State Aid and Federal Aid <br />• Lab Testing & Plant Inspection Services Request <br />• Utility Relocations Form <br />
