CSAH 5, and take the level of action deemed necessary to minimize the impact of any highway noise by
incorporating the appropriate noise mitigation elements into the design and phasing of this plat as
applicable.
The ACHD Engineering Plan Review Process will apply to this development. Calculations must be
provided along with a grading and erosion control plan that delineates the drainage areas for this site. The
post -development rate/volume of runoff must not exceed the pre -developed rate/volume of runoff for the
10-year, critical design storm. The estimated ACHD Engineering Plan Review fee is $850.00 if the CSAH
5 right turn lane and bypass lane are constructed. Contact Gina Pizzo, Engineer III at 763.862.4248, email:
Gina.Pizzo@co.anoka.mn.us with any questions and to coordinate the ACHD Engineering Plan Review
process. Please submit the drainage calculations, grading and erosion control plans, right turn lane and
bypass construction plans, ACHD Design Requirements Checklist for County Highway Modifications
(copy available via our website) and the applicable fee to Ms. Pizzo for her review and approval.
Once the ACHD Engineering Plan Review process is complete, the ACHD Permit process can begin. An
ACHD Permit for Work within the County Right of Way, and an ACHD Access Permit for the new City
street will be required and must be obtained by the contractor completing the work prior to any construction
activity within the county right of way (Permit for Work Within County ROW=$150.00; Access
Permit=$250.00). License Permit Bonding, methods of construction, work zone traffic control, restoration
requirements and follow-up inspections are typical elements of the permitting process. Once all necessary
City and county approvals have been obtained, the contractor can contact Jorge Bernal, Traffic Engineering
Technician I (phone: 763.862.4224; email: Jora e.BernalDela ado@co.anoka.mn.us ) for further information
regarding the ACHD Permit process.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
