Earlier this year, the Metropolitan Council adopted new <br />2040 local forecasts with Thrive MSP 2040. On October 8, the Council will adopt local forecasts for 2020 and <br />2030. We want your input to help us develop shared expectations about your future growth. Tell your sector representative: <br />• If 2020 and 2030 forecasts appear too high or too low. What do you think the 2020 and 2030 forecasts <br />should be? <br />• What recent developments might influence 2020 forecasts? How will the staging of infrastructure projects <br />or large developments affect the rate of growth between 2010 and 2040? <br />• Other local knowledge that will influence your growth over the next twenty years. <br />Please submit your comments on your 2020 and 2030 forecasts by Wednesday, September 17. <br />How we will use your comments: Council staff will review local comments and coordinate revisions so that the <br />total of all local forecasts equals the regional 2020 and 2030 forecasts approved earlier this year. Please know <br />that we are not revising the adopted 2040 forecasts at this point. <br />Other opportunities to comment on Council forecasts: The Council will revise all local forecasts before <br />issuing Systems Statements in 2015.
