CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Tile Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Monday, November 3, <br />2003, at the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, <br />Milmesota. <br /> <br />Membel:s Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councihnember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Cottncilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Membcrs Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Associate Planner Megan Wald <br />Police Chief James Way <br /> <br />CAI~L TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:41 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Game Fair <br /> <br />Police Chief Way stated that the Game Fair event has become very large over the last couple of <br />years and there has been an increase in parking problems, peddlers on the boulevards, pedestrian <br />traffic, increased vehicle traffic in the area, motor vehicle accidents, thefts, noise complaints, and <br />lnedicals. During the event, the Police Department has to respond to so many issues at the Game <br />Fail' it is reducing the Police coverage for the rest of the City. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session/November 3, 2003 <br /> Page 1 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
