Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF COUNCIL CONTINGENCY <br />FUNDS FOR CITY COUNCIL/MANAGEMENT TEAM STRATEGIC <br />PLANNING SESSION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, annual strategic plmming with the City Council and Management <br />Team is necessary ibr ensuring the City's goals are established and for the effective <br />management of City operations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the use of a consultant to facilitate the strategic planning process is <br />critical to the success of the process; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, city staff has received a proposal front Carl Neu, a well-respected <br />expert in local government strategic plamaing, for facilitation services and is researching <br />metro area facilities to host the session. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes the use of Council <br />Contingency Funds in an amount not to exceed $10,000 for the facilitation <br />selwices of Carl Neu and for facility expenses. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 13d, day of January 2004. <br /> <br />-166- <br /> <br /> <br />
