COMMITTEE INPUT <br /> <br />1) Meeting with Congressman Oberstar <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained that he had a meeting with Congressman Oberstar and he indicated that there <br />might be an opportunity for the City to receive some money for trails through a grant. Some projects he <br />thought could benefit from the funds would be finishing the trail at River Pines up to Elmcrest Park as <br />well as the trail on the east and west side of CR #5 from 153rd to the south and from Sunwood to the <br />north. <br /> <br />Motion to direct staff to review the trail connect/on in the City's C~ and talk to Mr. Oberstar about the <br />possible grant opportunities and then forward that information to the Park Commission. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />Assistant Public Works Director <br /> <br />CC: 01/13/04 <br /> <br />-218- <br /> <br /> <br />
