Mayor Ga~ec stated that City Ordinance states that it must be by a petition <br />of 100% of the area residents that would benefit. <br /> <br />Brenda Bauerkemper - 162nd Lane - Requested that Council explain Council's <br />resolution to ~use CDBG funds for sewer on Hwy. #10. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that the resolution set the direction for use of CDBG <br />funds but the final decision has not been made to use the funds for sewer on <br />Hwy. #10; a direction for use of those funds must be set by a certain date <br />or the City loses those funds. <br /> <br />Case #4: prainage Problem In Flintwood Hills First Addition: <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that there are water problems in Flintwood Hills First <br />Addition; homes are taking on water and it is causing problems with the <br />septic systems. <br /> <br />Council reviewed City Engineer Raatikka~s letter of May 17, 1984 regarding <br />same. <br /> <br />Mr. Lee Dorosh-Walther - 5421 142nd Avenue - Stated that installing drain <br />tile around his property is estimated at costing $2200. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann stated that he is in favor of Option #1 in City <br />Engineer Raatikka's letter of May 17,1984; to order a fasibility study to <br />provide the ultimate solution to the drainage district which will require <br />public hearings and assessments to the benefitted properties. <br /> <br />Mr. John Lichter - Stated he would like to see Raatikka's recommendation <br />in terms of dollars and cents. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Schlueter and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner <br />to direct City Engineer to prepare a comparative study of Options 1 and 2 <br />in Mr. Raatikka's letter of May 17, 1984 regarding the drainage problems <br />in Flintwood I and II and to submit this comparison to Council for review <br />at their next regular meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case ~5: Request For Preliminary Plat Approval Of Sortebe~g's Third Addition; <br /> Case Of Mr. Allen Sorteberg: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Mayor Gamec to approve of <br />the plat of Sorteberg's Third Addition and to grant a variance to the ordinance <br />requirement of blacktopping the street. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, Schlueter <br />and Van Wagner. Voting No: None.
