c) Utilization of a Part-Time Building Inspector - <br /> <br />Motion bY Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />approve of the City Administrator to engage the use of a part-time building <br />official on a contract basis when deemed necessary due to workload in that <br />department. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />d) Wage Negotiations With Police - <br /> <br />Council reviewed the Mediator's recommendation. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />adopt Resolution ~84-101a to approve of State Mediator's recommendation on wage <br />and fringe benefit increases for 1984 for the Ramsey Police Department. Please <br />refer to resolution file for Resolution #84-101a. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Abstaining: Councilmember Schlueter <br />(Councilmember Schlueter based her abstention on the fact that she has not <br />had time to thoroughly read through the mediator's recommendation as she re- <br />ceived her copy just prior to this meeting.) <br /> <br />Case #11: On-Sale LiQuor License Renewal Application; Case of Super Bowl, Inc.: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve the application of Super Bowl, Inc. for the on-sale liquor license <br />commencing July 1, 1984 and expirinq June 30, 1985 and to send a copy of <br />the City's ordinance regarding liquor licenses to Super Bowl. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #12: Fuel tanks at Public Works Garage: <br /> <br />Council noted letter from American Insurance Management Agency dated April 17, <br />1984. <br /> <br />Case #13: Legal: <br /> <br />a) State Aid Lawsuit - <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that we did receive special legislation to increase our <br />State Aids. In relation to that, Mr. Rosow has discussed our appeal to <br />the judgement in the State Aid Lawsuit with the Attorney General and we <br />think the City's best interest would be served by dismissing the appeal at <br />this time. The State has agreed to allow us to sue in the future and the <br />City should not spend any further money on that appeal. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />direct Mr. ~osow of Lang, Pauly & Gregerson to dismiss Ramsey's appeal to <br />the State Aid Lawsuit judgement based on stipulations before Council. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
