Grace, Building Code Consultant, regarding proposed retail store. <br /> <br />26) Memo dated July 15, 1985 from City Administrator Schnelle to City Engineer <br />Peter Raatikka regarding construction contract between the City of Ramsey and <br />Forest Lake Contracting. <br /> <br />27) State aid partial payment notice. <br /> <br />28) New Housing Update survey. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox referred to Item #1 in Letters and Communications and stated <br />that he realizes some members of Council may not have the contact with the <br />public that he does and he is constantly asked about tire disposal. <br />Councilm~mber Cox stated that he feels it is important to inform the public <br />that there is a tire disposal site. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Cox referred to Item 92 in Letters and Communications regarding <br />the Rum River Bridge Crossing. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~mber Cox and seconded by Councilm~mber Sorteberg directing <br />City Staff to send a letter to Anoka County Highway Engineer Paul Ruud stating <br />Ramsey's appreciation for being supplied information regarding the progress of <br />the Run River Bridge crossing plans and encouraging that the project proceed. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilm~mbers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />a) City Administrator <br /> <br />Council noted. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Reimann stated that he is glad he and Mr. Schnelle initiated the <br />application for a bond rating increase; the trip to New York to accomplish same <br />was money well spent. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Reimann referred to that part of Mr. Schnelle's Staff Report <br />pertaining to hiring a Clerical II. Councilm~mber Reimann recalled that at a <br />recent Personnel Meeting Mr. Schnelle stated that Staff was getting loaded down <br />in the office. Councilm~mber Reimann stated that at that time he advised Mr. <br />Schnelle to bring such matters to the attention of the Personnel Committee; <br />hiring somebody was not discussed. <br /> July 29, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 13 of 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
