Staff salaries for 1985. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Reimann stated that these items <br />have been repeatedly referred back to the Personnel Committee and <br />he would like to clear the slate and make a fresh start with 1986 <br />negotiations. Councilm~nber COx stated that he feels it is <br />incumbent for this Council to review the very irregular high salary <br />increases, which are far beyond the 4% indicated in newspaper <br />articles; it's a situation of goverr~ent perpetuating inflation at <br />the expense of society and it's not prudent to allow this to <br />continue. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilm~nbers <br />Sorteberg, Reimann and Schlueter.
