INTRODUCTION Public and Agency Involvement Public and agency participation was critical to the success of this study. Input from affected local agencies and the public lends credibility to key decisions made during the project. Figure 2 illustrates the different groups, planned activities, and their role in the decision making process. The PMT met monthly to manage and deliver the project and to consider all public, stakeholder and elected official input. Study Advisory Committee A Study Advisory Committee was formed to provide an opportunity for local community input and feedback to the PMT. Study Advisory Committee members included planning and engineering staff from the Cities of Ramsey, Anoka and Elk River, Anoka County, MnDOT and the Metropolitan Council. This committee met seven times during the study to provide feedback on issues, concerns, study findings and recommendations. Design Charette A Design Charette is an intensive participatory planning process that brings together a multi -disciplined team to add ideas and solutions to a project while it is being studied.
