Business and Stakeholder Meeting #2 TH 10 Access and Planning Study Page 2 e. Subarea 5 — City Limits to West Main Street (Anoka's West End) Draft improvement concepts were shared with the groups. Many folks generally supported the project. Below are some of the comments heard through the discussions: • Nearly all participants asked how their business would be provided access throughout the implementation. • One comment was to be consistent and fair with treatments. • Some business owners desire no change in access as they feel roadway improvements will hurt business. Many of these business owners realize that improvements are necessary. • Many business owners want to understand the timing and extent of improvements so they can plan for investments and impacts into their businesses. • Other commenters said to start improvements right away. • Consider transitional signage so the public can get use to new routes. 5. Schedule /Next Steps a. Finalize Alternatives and Cost Estimates (February — March 2014) b. Public Open House Meeting (February 26th at Greenhaven) c. Implementation Plan (April — August 2014) i. Set priorities, schedule, and agency responsibilities d. Next Business and Stakeholder Meeting (May/June 2014) e. Anticipated Construction Schedule • The groups were encouraged to attend the upcoming open house. • This group will likely be reassembled in May or June. • Some of the participants requested access to the drawings. Once another round of revisions are completed to get them ready for the open house the concepts will be shared on the website.
