Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #14-10-214 RESOLUTION TO RECLASSIFY THE I.T. COORDINATOR WHEREAS, in September 2012, the City Council directed staff to fill the I.T. role with an I.T. Specialist rather than an I.T. Manager, on a temporary basis, and WHEREAS, in October 2012, Mr. Jason Fredrickson was hired as an I.T. Specialist and then one year later was reclassified as an IT Coordinator, and WHEREAS, staffs strategic schedule of progression for this position, as well as the direction set by the strategic plan, account for the reclassification of this position in order to meet the City's public service needs; and WHEREAS, staff recommends reclassifying Mr. Jason Fredrickson, the current I.T. Coordinator to I.T. Manager, effective October 12, 2014, at $32.19 per hour and to waive the 6-month probationary period. NOW, THEREFORE, BE I.T. RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: Motion to approve a resolution #14-10-214 to reclassify the current I.T. Coordinator to I.T. Manager at $32.19 per hour, effective October 12, 2014 and to waive the 6-month probationary period. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of October 2014.
