Mayor Heitman directed that each of the 3 bidders for the landfill market study <br />be notified that their bid was unsuccessful. <br /> <br />~{AYO~/COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that he will Ra~sey's presentation for the <br />Nov~ber 13 public hearing ready for Council review soon. Mr. Goodrich stated <br />that all cities will have 10 for their presentations and inquired if he and Mr. <br />Raatikka should cons~e the entire 10 ~inutes or reserve some of the time for a <br />Council statement. <br /> <br />Council authorized Mr. Goodrich and Mr. Raatikka to utilize the full 10 winutes <br />allotted Rawsey at the Nov~ber 13 public hearing. <br /> <br />Councilwe~ber COx stated that the County will be selecting an RDF vendor on <br />Friday, November 8; if NSP is selected, the operation will be in Elk River; <br />in the event NSP is not chosen, Anoka and Rawsey sites are open for <br />consideration; does Rawsey want sucyh a facility within it's city; there is a <br />good deal of tax revenue to be gained fro~ such a facility; if the facility is <br />located in Anoka, Ramsey would be impacted and not receive any of the tax base. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilz~ber COx and seconded by Councilma~ber Reimann to adopt <br />Resolution #85-218 reco~ending to the Anoka County Board of Cowmissioners that <br />they select the NSP proposal; further, to direct the Acting City Administrator <br />to forward this resolution to the Anoka County Board iw~ediately. (Please <br />refer to resolution file for Resolution #85-218). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heit~an, Councilwe~bers Sorteberg, COx, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilwe~ber Reimann and seconded by Councilme~ber Cox to adjourn <br />this special Council weeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Council~bers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter.
