PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSE¥ <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />~he Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Monday, December 2, 1985 <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Heitman <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator William Goodrich <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Arnie Cox <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman called the special Council meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Council consensus was to approve the agenda as sukmitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Discussion Of Comr~nsat]on PackaGe To Be Offered To <br /> Administrative AssistanctYC]erk: <br /> <br />Council discussed the need for an annual personnel review process to be <br />established in Ramsey. <br /> <br />General discussion ensued regarding the possibility of hiring a Clerk/Treasurer <br />person that could eventually work into the position of City Administrator. It <br />was the consensus of the majority of Council that Ramsey needs a qualified City <br />Administrator knowledgeable in the areas of local goverr~ent aids, fiscal <br />disparities, bond rating, etc. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich proceeded to review references he obtained on Mr. Bob Haarman and <br />Mr. David Hartley. <br /> <br />Councilmenber Reimann stated that he feels the salary offer should be at the <br />same level or less than what these two applicants are currently earning based <br />on the intangible benefits to working in Ramsey and Ramsey's step program for <br />salary increases. <br /> DecemberS., 1985 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
