Councilmember Reimann requested City Attorney make sure Ramsey is not being <br />charged a late fee on the bill from American Piping. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilme~ber Reimann and seconded by Mayor Heitman to adopt <br />Resolution #85-239 authorizing the payment of bills for the month of December, <br />1985 in the amount of $205,855.26. (Please refer to resolution file for <br />Resolution ~85-239). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~ber Cox and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to <br />authorize Councilmember Reimann to approve the payment of the remainder of <br />bills at the end of December, 1985. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Cmn~idar Cnunt~r Employment Promsal From___walter John~.~q~l~. ~ha <br /> Bu~ ] d~ na Insuecto~ C~ndidate: <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that Mr. Johnson asked that he make it known that Mr. <br />Johnson's counter proposal is for discussion and is not a demand. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to offer Mr. <br />Johnson the same starting salary contained in the City's original proposal for <br />employment with no increase after the six month probationary period; that the <br />20 hours per week can be attempted on a 3 7-hour day trial basis. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sortegberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember COx stated that he is under the impression that there may still <br />be people at the City Staff level working at other activities while on duty at <br />City Hall. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann directing the <br />City Attorney to work with the Personnel Committee to research the matter of <br />personnel working on outside activities while on duty at City Hall and to take <br />whatever appropriate action is necessary to alleviate the problem. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mayor Heitman stated that City Attorney Goodrich knows the <br />legal implications involved and if it appears to be a fool's errand, the issue <br />should be dropped. Councilmember Cox stated he is willing to bring information <br />he has forward to the Personnel Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
