PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RA~EY <br /> ANOKA OOUNTY <br /> S~%TE OF MINNF~O~I~ <br /> <br />~he Ramsey City Council conducted a s~ecial meeting on Tuesday, December 17, <br />1985 at the R~sey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., P~msey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Heitman <br />Councilm~mber A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Acting City Administrator/City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Reporter Kathy Cassidy <br /> <br />Mayor Hei~an called the special Council meeting to order at 6:36 p.m. <br /> <br />~PPRfy~L ~ .AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~m]ber Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Cox to approve <br />the agenda as sukmitted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />.~plo_vm~nt Aareement ProPosal Of City_ Administrator <br /> David Hartley: <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that he met with Mr. Hartley regarding the City's proposal <br />for ~mploy~ent and Mr. Hartley's counter proposal for employment. ~hat counter <br />proposal is contained in tonight's Council agenda and st~marizes as follows: <br />1) Position title of City Administrator; 2) February 1, 1986 effective date; <br />3) Three year term of ~mployment and continued employment if mutually agreed <br />to; 4) Employer may terminate employee and a payment equal to the compensation <br />for 60 days will be paid to the employee; 5) Employee may terminate employment <br />with 60 days written notice with no benefits beyond effective date of <br />termination; 6) A salary of $40,000.00 effective February 1, 1986, $41,600.00 <br />effective February 1, 1987, and $43,200.00 effective February 1, 1988; 7) FICA <br />contributions shall be made by employer and employee; 8) Employer shall allow <br />employee to enroll in a Deferred Compensation Plan and contribute an amount <br />equal to 5% of employees annual salary to said plan; 9) Employer shall provide <br />$140.00 per month towards health and major medical insurance and also provide <br />disability insurance; 10) Employee shall accrue 15 days of vacation on <br /> December 17, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
