Employer by directing 30 days prior written notice of termination to <br />Employer by certified or registered mail, return receipt requested. <br />In the event of such termination, Employee shall not be entitled to <br />receive benefits beyond the effective date of such termination. <br /> <br />6) <br /> <br />Salary: $37,000 per year effective February 1, 1986; $39,500 per year <br />effective August 1, 1986; $40,300 effective February 1, 1987; $41,100 <br />effective August 1, 1987; $41,900 effective February 1, 1988; $42,700 <br />effective August 1, 1988. Future salary adjustments to be negotiated. <br /> <br />7) FI(~: The contributions required by Federal and State law to FIG% <br /> shall be made by the Employer and Employee. <br /> <br />8) <br /> <br />Deferred Compensation: ~he Employer shall execute the necessary <br />agreement allowing Employee to enroll in a Deferred Compensation Plan <br />of the Employee's choosing. Employer agrees to contributing an <br />mount equal to 5% of Employee's annual salary to said Deferred <br />Compensation Plan. Additional contributions to the Deferred <br />Compensation Plan may be made by the Employee at the Employee's <br />discretion. <br /> <br />9) <br /> <br />Insurance: ~e Employer will provide $140.00 per month to be applied <br />t~ward the cost of health and major medical insurance of the <br />Employee's choosing. Unused monthly health and major medical benefits <br />shall be paid to the Employee annually net of all taxes. <br /> <br />Effective with this agreement, the Employee shall furnish and provide <br />Employee with insurance protection, including comprehensive general <br />liability and errors and omissions coverage applicable to all acts or <br />omissions of the Employee arising out of his employment. <br /> <br />10) Vacation: Consistent with current City ordinance addressing vacation <br /> time. ~e maximu~ accumulated vacation time cannot exceed 10 days. <br /> <br />11) <br /> <br />Sick Leave: Employee shall accrue sick leave at a rate of 1/2 day <br />per month to a maxim~m~ accrual of 60 days. Employee shall receive <br />no payment in lieu of accrued sick leave upon termination of <br />employment. <br /> <br />12) <br /> <br />Hours of Work: ~e Employer recognizes the requirement of time spent <br />by Employee outside the typical 40 hour work week, as required by <br />Council, and will allow Employee to take personal time off provided a <br />a formal log of meeting attendance and personal time off is <br />maintained; Employee cannot expend more than 8 hours of personal time <br />off in any given work week. <br /> <br />13) <br /> <br />Memberships: Effective with this agreement, the Employer shall pay <br />the annual membership dues on behalf of the Employee to the <br />International City Management Association and the Minnesota City <br />Management Association. <br /> <br />14) <br /> <br />Effective with this agreement, the Employer shall reimburse Employee <br />for business related expenses consistent with the City's policy and <br /> December 17, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 6 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
